A custom fireplace is designed and built for your specific space, style, and architecture rather than dropped in from a box. Custom builds let us size the opening to your wall, integrate the unit with stone, tile, wood, or steel surrounds, and add features like floor-to-ceiling stone, suspended designs, or walk-in proportions that prefab kits cannot accommodate.
What is a Mason-Lite fireplace and why are they popular?
Mason-Lite is a modular masonry fireplace system that delivers the look of a traditional brick-and-mortar fireplace at a fraction of the weight, install time, and cost. Custom Fireplace St. George is the only Utah dealer offering full custom Mason-Lite designs — including 10-foot-wide openings, three-sided builds, and lava rock or fireball media options.
Can you build floor-to-ceiling or oversized fireplaces?
Yes. We regularly design 20-foot floor-to-ceiling showpieces, walk-in fireplace openings, and suspended fireplace installations. Custom builds let us match high-ceiling great rooms, modern minimalist walls, or traditional rustic interiors at any scale.
Do you install indoor and outdoor custom fireplaces?
Yes. We design and install both. Indoor custom fireplaces include gas, wood-burning, and electric units with stone, tile, or wood surrounds. Outdoor custom fireplaces are built into patios, courtyards, and outdoor kitchens — often paired with fire features or integrated BBQ islands.
How long does a custom fireplace project take?
Most custom fireplace projects in Southern Utah take 4 to 8 weeks from design approval to final install, depending on complexity, materials, and any framing or gas/electrical work required. New construction installs are scheduled with the home builder; retrofits are scheduled around your availability.
What brands of fireplaces do you carry?
We carry and install Mason-Lite, Kozy Heat, DaVinci, Golden Blount, Napoleon, and other premium fireplace brands. Each brand has strengths — Mason-Lite for custom masonry looks, DaVinci for multi-sided glass, Kozy Heat for clean linear designs, and Golden Blount for traditional gas. We help you select the right unit for your space.
Do you serve Cedar City and other Southern Utah cities?
Yes. We serve St. George, Washington, Hurricane, Ivins, Santa Clara, Cedar City, and surrounding Southern Utah communities, including parts of Mesquite, Nevada. Distance is not a factor for premium custom builds.
Do you have a showroom in St. George?
Yes. Our St. George showroom at 3826 S River Rd has working displays of Mason-Lite, Kozy Heat, electric, and gas fireplace models, plus material samples for surrounds and mantels. Open Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 4 PM — no appointment needed.
